School of Foreign Studies (SFS) Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) is looking for foreign teachers. CUFE is the top finance university in Beijing, China. The salary and workload are discussed upon the signing of agreement. Year contracts are preferred. The university will arrange /pay visa, work permit.

Requirements:

● Native English Speakers

● Bachelor and above degrees

● At least one year teaching experience either at home or abroad

● English Linguistics, English literature major or TESOL certificate preferred.

Posts Introduction:

● 6 places are available to teach Oral, Writing, Listening, Reading English and Business English from September, 2009 to July, 2010.

● The maximum teaching hours are 16 hours per week, English activities, such as English Corner, English Lecture, etc. included. All classrooms equipped with computers and projected for PowerPoint / music / DVD etc.

● Paid winter holidays for year contracts. Round-trip airfare and holiday bonus of RMB 2,200. CUFE buys the Health Insurance for the foreign teachers.

● Accommodation: A double-room suite is provided for free in the Expert hotel (on campus-2 minutes from teaching building). Fully furnished including double beds, self-contained shower, flat-screen TV, internet access, microwave, fridge, telephone, washing machine in hallway (same floor), good heating, maid service daily to clean, launder/ change towels, bed linens and take out trash, etc.

● Location:

▲ Main campus just north of Xizhimen subway station (NW corner of Line 2) with several cheap and mid-level restaurants, large grocery store within 5-minute walk. Also a restaurant attached to the hotel. Track, basketball, tennis courts, cafeterias provided.

▲ Shahe campus is located in Changping District, about 40 minutes subway ride from the main campus. Expert hotel is provided if you choose to live on main campus. CUFE is responsible for the transportation between the two campuses.

The Potential English teachers are to:

● Teach: (1) Undergraduate courses available for both English and non-English majors: Newspaper Reading; Extensive Reading; Writing (both general writing and business writing); Oral English.

         (2) Courses for postgraduate students: Oral English

         (3) Courses for PhDs: Oral English (BEC 3)

● Give one lecture on western cultures each term. The lecture lasts 2 hours, one for teacher’s presentation and the other for teacher-student interaction.

● Preside an English Corner once or twice each term.
